Traditional, authentic and extraordinary. In our old joinery, built1920, carefully prepared specialties have been served in an exceptional atmosphere since 1930. Our guests sit comfortably on old workbenches with ancient tools hanging from above and enjoy delicious cider. No matter whether in our restaurant or in the former woodshed, which is now our greened, roofed and heated garden, we serve our much-loved home-style cooking and specialties you can't find everywhere and some of them you will only find here. Not only HR Television voted us the most original restaurants in Hessen. Enjoy!
Juicy rump steaks, the Hessian specialty "Green Sauce", our unique Schreinerei burgers or delicious cheese noodles. We serve what we love and what our guests adore.
We also serve our specialities during the year.
For example our original Swiss cheese raclette served in the old wood shed is already legendary (reservation necessary). Our exceptional bowl menus. Look forward to our delicious goulash and our regional farmer's asparagus.
Our grill weeks start when everybody is in the mood, no matter the weather.
Enjoy our spareribs, beeched roast pork, duck on the grill and pulled pork in the smoker.

Is there any need to talk about drinks? Yes. When you don't only offer what can be found elsewhere. Our home-made Strawberry Limes is cult. Home-brewed Kronenhof Beer is only available here and at the Kronenhof. The Reichs-Post bitter has been traditionally brewed since 1843 and is not only on our menu, you'll find it on many of our tables.
We raise our glasses to everything we enjoy – from our delicious aperitifs to Austrian schnapps. Cheers.
